pint pitcher 1950s

pint pitcher 1950s

$95.00

The Pint Pitcher was introduced in the mid-1950s and first appeared in a print catalog in 1957 (lower left). It is typical of the 1950s designs, with simple and reserved lines, a modest spout, and a well-shaped and carefully placed handle. The design was strongly influenced by colonial American ceramic designs, something of great interest to Oliver Greene. This example is in Mahogany Brown and has the light clay body and signature of the late 1950s. No chips or cracks, 4.75 inches in height.
